My client is a leading provider of digital film distribution services, building a European digital network to deliver film to the cinema, home and between industry players.
This new role will be to maintain an effective database of film playout and booking information. The integrity of the database is imperative to enable punctual and accurate billings with no risk of a loss of credibility with either the distributors or exhibitors.
The appropriate candidate will act as a liaison for the business with both the film distributors and exhibitors to ensure all contractual requirements are mutually being adhered to in a timely and efficient manner.
This role is in the finance team and you will also be working with the in-house legal team and the Information team ensuring that information provided is of an excellent quality.
This is a rare opportunity to carry out a role that spans the business with direct contact with the main clients and suppliers. The role will provide exposure to a wide range of business systems and is a perfect opportunity to gain experience in the interaction of the finance and legal functions, as well as giving expose to analytics and data mining techniques.
Responsibilities include:
- To proactively monitor the database to ensure it is maintained with up to date with logs, bookings and invoices
- Liaising with the distributors and exhibitors to address contractual requirements and any issues arising from the database billings
- Review of the contracted requirements to ensure all parties are meeting their necessary obligations and the system appropriately reflects the terms of the agreements
- Review of the internal and external management reports derived from the database, including trend analysis to enable assessment of the exhibitor's performance and future forecasting
Essential skills:
- 2:1 or above in a statistical or analytical degree from a top twenty university
- Strong academics, A's and B's at A level in Maths related subjects
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with client facing skills
- Must have a methodical approach with an eye for detail
? Using source data, be able to sift through rows of data, realising patterns to uncover simpler ways of doing things
- Good knowledge of Excel and its features is essential
- The ability to think logically and find the most optimal solution to extract data quickly and efficiently, applying business logic to resulting datasets so that they are accurate
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- A strong interest in Finance
