Our client is the UK base of their German parent company and they employ 60 people. They specialise in manufacturing and distributing components for industrial sectors, these include sensors, networking and control technology for automation. They have a strong client base and are leaders within their field, developing and producing a wide range of products and systems. They cover all sectors of manufacturing including food and beverage, automotive, utilities and general manufacturing.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company specialising in the manufacture of sensing and control solutions as a Graduate Field Sales Engineer, servicing clients within the M25, South Essex, Kent, Sussex and along the A3.
The Role:
You will utilise your engineering skills to solve customers' applications, working on an established client base with huge potential for future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Working to achievable sales targets
- Review monthly sales alongside your sales manager and ensure growth is achieved
- Increase existing sales, generate new business and reduce loss in existing business
- Cross selling and increasing contacts within key accounts
- Meeting clients to service accounts effectively
- Define business plans for key accounts and create journey plans for the area maximising efficiency
- Ensure all visits are appropriately planned and meet the set criteria and objectives
- Submit weekly visit reports to the Line Manager
- Develop expert knowledge of the most influential accounts
- Ability to understand the manufacturing process and exploit new business opportunities
- Act as an ambassador for the company
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with your Line Manager to update on progress
- Work within the core values set by the company and adhere to set guidelines
You will be trained extensively in this role and there are excellent career prospects. The role pays a minimum of £25,000 per annum with a fantastic commission and bonus scheme, benefits include a fully expensed company car, pension and healthcare.
Requirements:
- Ideally a degree in Electronic Engineering, if not Electronic Engineering you must have an Engineering Degree
- Ideally experience of sales
- Must possess a full, clean driving license
- Must be eligible to live and work in the EU
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Commercially aware
- Strong understanding of sales which can be demonstrated
- High achiever both in and out of work and university
