My client is a highly-respected, dynamic conference company based in central London.
My client is looking to recruit an Events Assistant to join a busy team of event organisers, responsible for the logistics and delivery of commercial conferences annually.
The role of the Events Assistant involves the day to day liaison with clients and the implementation of all aspects of each event, to include the organisation of dinners, drinks receptions, exhibitions and branding packages.
The Event Coordinator will also be responsible for liaising with the event speakers to ensure they're prepared for the event, sourcing and managing suppliers and the on-the-day delivery of the event, including all on-site logistics and liaison with all conference speakers, sponsors and the management of the on-site team.
This role will suit someone with outstanding organisation skills with a passion for delivering well organised business events whilst remaining focussed on excellent customer service and profitability.
This position would be perfect for a recent graduate looking to establish themselves within the events industry. Experience of working in an office environment would be an advantage.
The essential skills are as follows:
- Minimum 2.1 degree in History, English, Philosophy, Politics or related
- ABB minimum at A-Level, or equivalent
- Outstanding organisation and admin skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to find common sense solutions to problems
- A genuine interest in organising business events
- A positive and flexible outlook
- Superb attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken English
