My client is an independent economics consultancy who specialise in Competition policy. They have a world wide presence. They apply the latest knowledge in economics and econometrics and work with a huge global client base.
My client has a position for a graduate Economist to join this economics consultancy specialising in competition policy. This position is suitable for someone with an interest in microeconomics. You should have excellent academic credentials in economics and preferably an interest in industrial organisation. I am looking for consultants with a range of quantitative and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex economic concepts in a clear concise style.
In this role you will be working with experienced, highly skilled Economists. The main types of econometric work this company performs are analysis of market outcomes, basic demand estimation and forecasting.
The essential skills for this position will be as follows:
- You will need a 1st class degree in Economics, Econometrics or related.
- Excellent academic credentials in economics and econometrics.
- You will need to have excellent quantitative analytical skills.
- A strong interest in microeconomics.
- Excellent communication skills.
