This business is one of Europe's leading food companies. They employ over 10,000 people in both the UK and Ireland, and supply produce to all the major UK supermarkets.
An exciting developmental scheme focussed on setting you up to become a 'hands on' Manager in the Engineering department.
The scheme lasts for two years, within that you would have the opportunity to spend around six months on different projects, all within the central engineering function.
Please note that you need to be geographically mobile, as each six month placement will be at a different site.
This is a project based role and will see the projects through from conception to completion. The projects will be varied and could cover:
- Machine efficiency analysis.
- Project management of new factory integration.
- Implementing new equipment.
You would be part of the management scheme receiving classroom training on various management skills and all experience will contribute towards Engineering Chartership. You will also receive great mentoring from experienced engineers with the business.
This is a succession scheme so the scope for progression is incredible. After the two years you could see yourself becoming a Shift Manager, or even managing your own factory.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering at 2:2 and above.
- Team driven attitude.
- Great organisational skills.
- Confidence dealing with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Driving licence.
- Geographical mobility.
