My client is a leading name in research and development, design and consultancy services in the offshore, oil and gas and renewables industries.

This is an exciting engineering vacancy in a well-established firm who supports the offshore industry. The role will involve working mostly on design projects from initial concept through to prototype manufacture. You will work on mechanical, hydraulic and structural projects. A recent project of theirs involved designing and implementing a new access platform to allow safe transfer of people and equipment from vessel to rig. You will be involved in a lot of the project from initial concept to cost management, detailed design work and project managing.

Requirements:

-Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering or very closely related, minimum grade 2:1
-Strong academic record including 300 UCAS points
-Excellent CAD skills, being comfortable with using AutoCAD
-Great communication skills, both written and verbal
-Strong attention to detail
-Organisational skills
-Ability to plan, prioritise and achieve deadlines.
