This role supports the team by focusing on delivering accurate and speedy reporting of quantitative data from a number of different methodologies. The Analyst requires supreme accuracy at speed, coupled with the ability to see anomalies and patterns in data.
The Data Analyst will have the opportunity to influence key decision makers at some of the UK's most famous brands.
Your analyses will be woven into reports that form the basis of strategies for large UK retailers. You will work with the data drawn from a wide variety of sources across many different companies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Produce data tables and agreed reporting for client projects
- Produce simple quantitative reports for high profile clients
- Assist in the design and development of questionnaires
- Programme, set up pilots and manage online surveys
- Quality check all reporting to ensure accuracy of data given to clients. Be able to investigate when data does not look right
- Action ad hoc requests for clients to maintain high levels of client satisfaction
- Streamline reporting processes and seek to improve ways of working
- Support the set up of complex projects
- Be able to use Excel and be able to know when to apply the functions of Excel including formulas, pivot tables and Macros.
The essential skills for this role are as follows:
- Minimum 2.1 degree from a BSc Maths, Physics, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or data related subject
- Very strong Excel skills - formulas, macros and pivot tables
- Excellent understanding of data and good reporting skills
- The ability to process large volumes of data and understand, format and summarise
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of PowerPoint
- Ideally some work experience that involved the use of Excel
- Ability to interrogate large volumes of data
