My client develops and markets medical devices that are used for surgical procedures.
This is an opportunity to join a business critical department within the medical devices sector. The position sits in Operational Excellence (business intelligence), a division which is responsible for analysing current and future business performance based on a wide range of systems, data and reports. The department provides a variety of business intelligence that monitors departmental performance and provides tools to drive high performance.
For example:
Sales - forecasts and revenue reports
Marketing - market share, heat mapping and other market analysis
Finance - weekly revenue breakdowns and performance figures
Business planning and forecasting
Score cards and dash boards to measure overall business performance
The data produced enables the company to understand how it is performing and contributes to the business plan.
You will work with a Senior Business Analyst and will have lots of exposure to colleagues across many departments. The position would initially be administration focused, setting up reporting systems, collating information from various data sources so you can run, maintain and develop reports. However, the successful candidate would gradually become more analytical as they grow into the role. The successful candidate could eventually grow into a position within finance or business analysis. The organisation is large and encourages its employees to grow within the business so there are excellent prospects for progression.
Essential skills:
- A graduate with a good degree, ideally in a business or numerate subject
- Strong MS Office skills
- Good IT skills
- Experience of statistics an advantage
- Good data analysis skills
- Solid written and oral communication skills
