My client is a small boutique firm specialising in corporate and financial planning advisory and credit risk analytics within the global shipping and banking industry.

This brilliant role involves working alongside two teams dealing with both Credit Analytics and Corporate Financial Planning and is a foot in the door in financial services. It is varied and involves a broad skillset.

You will be using, developing and improving financial models and must be highly numerate. There will also be aspects of report writing, client work and lots of statistical analysis with excellent training in all areas.

Key responsibilities include:

- Updating and manipulating the financial database used for modeling
- Financial data analysis
- Development of forecasting models and spreadsheet construction
- Review of economic and industry data
- Client discussions
- Report preparation

Requirements:

- A 2:1 or above in Maths, Stats, Economics or related numerate degree
- Excellent A Levels including an A in Mathematics
- Strong interest in the financial sector
- Modeling experience is highly desirable
- Good Excel skills, with experience of using and creating Macros being preferable
- Impeccable communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Enthusiastic, motivated and hard working
