My client is an expert in industrial automation and process control. Offering the full service life cycle using the latest technologies, they manage the full project with a variety of System Engineers and IT specialists from a diverse background.
The client, based near Bradford, is eager to appoint a recent graduate to join them as a Control Systems Engineer. This post would suit a Computing Graduate (with a focus on Control Automation) or a graduate from an Electrical or Electronics background.
The successful candidate will be assisting with the development, implementation and commissioning, support of control system solutions and automation projects. The client has an impressive customer base and you will have the chance to work with some of the UKs largest branded manufacturers within the food and beverage industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and the consumer packaged goods industry.
This challenging role will involve working in small to medium teams to deliver a whole range of projects from small bespoke retrofitting to large turnkey solutions. With the team, you will learn the required skillsets for defining customer specifications and designing automation solutions. In addition you will learn how to track work, report, and develop during the full project life cycle. Experience will also be gained on industry standard tools for programming PLC and SCADA systems as well as exposure to configuring communications platforms.
Requirements:
- 2.1 level or above in a relevant discipline
- You must have a valid UK driving licence (or be in the process of leaning to drive) and be willing to work away on occasion
- Control System PLC knowledge would be beneficial.
