My client is the technical division of one of the world's largest banking groups. They conduct consulting, technical development, analysis and technical support to all business areas within the bank.

My client is looking to hire a number of graduates to work as Graduate Consultants for them. You will be based from either London or Milton Keynes, and the roles will involve UK wide travel so interested candidates need to be prepared to travel and stay away from home as part of their job. Please state location preference on application.

Your day to day duties will be varied and could include:

-Undertaking and supporting project engagements, delivering the highest quality service to clients, meeting and exceeding their expectations
-Building and developing understanding of the client's project methodologies, banking industry sector and the wider group
-Supporting the development of the firm's internal processes and proposition
-Managing your development in line with agreed personal and team objectives

You will be typically working in small teams comprising one or two consultants, a manager and a senior manager or director.

Projects that you could be getting involved in include:

-Business process reengineering and improvements
-Evaluation of banking models of new acquisitions and development of target end state designs
-Development of initiatives to improve customer service leveraging different customer channels and business capabilities
-Initially your role will be undertaking the core analytical work on each project: understanding and articulating the situation through a precise and careful diagnostic and proposing a set of clear conclusions to the line manager.

Candidates will require:

-Minimum 2.1 degree level
-Strong analytical skills, with an ability to synthesise information and develop powerful insights and solutions
-Experience of solving complex business problems and translating these into clear action plans
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak and write convincingly at varying levels within an organisation
-Understanding of, and interest in, the basic concepts of retail banking
-Self starter who can thrive in a fast paced evolving business environment
-A flexible and 'can do' attitude with a strong sense of initiative
