My client is an award winning Conference Company with expertise in the Oil, Gas and Energy sectors.
This is a new position within an existing team where you will focus on the technical challenges within the oil and gas industry. You will be researching the market through desk and telephone based research, creating advisory panels and building relationships with key industry figures, and there is fantastic opportunity for international travel.
This is a outstanding entry level position into conference production where you will be mentored by a more senior conference producer and take your time learning about each different stage of production before becoming a fully-fledged Conference Producer.
My client is looking for a graduate who has done some exciting extra-curricular things with their time and who is interested in the oil and gas industry. A second language in Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish or French would also be a bonus.
Main responsibilities include:
-Researching the market to identify commercially attractive topics and angles for conferences.
-Taking ownership of developing the company's technical offerings at exhibitions and conferences.
-Develop technical knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
-Create technical advisory boards.
-Creating conference content to appeal to more technical job functions.
-Working closely with the conference and marketing teams to identify the right level executives.
-Develop key client relationships.
-Write marketing briefs.
-Run the technical session rooms on the day.
Requirements:
-2:1 or above from a top University.
-Good A-Levels.
-Articulate.
-Excellent written communication skills.
-Interest in the oil and gas industry.
-Interest in global current affairs.
