My client is a fast growing, intelligence, networking and events company.
This company produces niche conferences in North America, Europe and Emerging Markets, and due to recent success are looking to grow the team.
This is a fabulous position for a graduate looking to get into the conference industry long term but who would like to work in more of an administrative and support role initially, with a view to potentially becoming a Conference Producer down the line.
Within this role you will have the opportunity to research and deliver 10 unique international round table events for senior level executives. As you grow within the role you will take on responsibility to research the content of round table events and help invite and secure key industry speakers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching the content of key industry round table events through a combination of desk based and telephone based research
- Identifying, inviting and securing speakers for events
- Updating the event websites
- Media monitoring
- Acquiring delegates for their free-to-attend conferences
- Conference administration
- Managing the social media presence of the events team
- Proofreading and copywriting, and to assist with brochure design
Requirements:
- 2:1 or above in your chosen discipline
- Outstanding communication skills
- A passion for the commercial conference industry
- Confidence to talk to individuals at all levels
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
- Previous experience within a professional or corporate environment
- Any experience of cold-calling or conducting telephone based research is a bonus
