This significant organisation is searching for the next top conference producer! You will be producing conferences, networking events and exhibitions within the oil and gas industry and you will gain fantastic exposure to producing events from start to finish.
No experience in conference production is needed, however, you will need more than six months experience in a fast paced commercial environment, ideally sales or research based. Furthermore, you do not need any specific knowledge of the oil and gas industry, however, you will need to enjoy researching new and varied topics. You will be a go-getter and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. There is fantastic career progression for high flyers and a real 'work-hard play-hard' ethos.
*Please note this is not an events management role*
There is fantastic opportunity to travel within this role as all conferences within this portfolio take place abroad. You will also have the opportunity to network with senior level executives at every stage of the process, from researching the industry through to one on one meetings and the conference itself.
Key responsibilities include:
- Research and Analysis; in depth phone based research of key subject areas and hot topics
- Speaker Acquisition; selecting, sourcing and securing the participation of high level industry leading speakers
- Copy Writing; writing brochures, direct mail and email copy
- Portfolio Development; generating commercially viable topics
- Project Management; helping to drive other project teams such as marketing and events to deliver to deadline
- Onsite Delivery; all on-site execution of conferences
Requirements:
- 2:1 level or above in your chosen discipline, humanities subjects highly favourable
- Graduate from a top university
- Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal
- At least six months' experience in a commercial environment
- Ability to conduct in-depth research
