This company creates exciting conferences and exhibitions at an international level across a multitude of industries and boasts an extremely impressive client list.
The key objective of the role is to develop commercially viable conferences based on in-depth market research. You will become a specialist in your sector and you will work on an exciting portfolio of oil and gas events.
The ideal candidate will either have up to a year's worth of experience in Conference Production or experience in a fast paced commercial environment, ideally sales or research based. You will be a go-getter and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. There is fantastic career progression for high flyers and a real 'work-hard play-hard' ethos.
There is fantastic opportunity to travel within this role as all conferences within this portfolio take place abroad. You will also have the opportunity to network with senior level executives at every stage of the process, from researching the industry through to one on one meetings and the conference itself.
Key responsibilities include:
- Research and Analysis - in depth phone based research of key subject areas and hot topics
- Speaker Acquisition - selecting, sourcing and securing the participation of high level industry leading speakers
- Copy Writing - writing brochures, direct mail and email copy
- Portfolio Development - generating commercially viable topics
- Project Management - helping to drive other project teams such as marketing and events to deliver to deadline
- Onsite Delivery - all on-site execution of conferences
Requirements:
- 2:1 level or above in your chosen discipline, humanities subjects highly favourable
- Graduate from a top 30 university
- Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal
- At least 6 months' experience in a commercial environment
- Ability to conduct in-depth research
