This company is part of a FTSE 250 organisation, offering international training opportunities, events and conferences.
The role of Conference Producer is to carry out in-depth research in order to develop industry leading events and conferences which take place globally. You will project manage conferences from start to finish and will take responsibility for producing 5-6 key industry events in your first year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright and commercial graduate who enjoys networking and who would like to work for the leading conference production company in their field. This role would suit a graduate with 6-12 months experience in a commercial setting, however a graduate with the right attitude will also be considered.
Key responsibilities:
-Producing 5-6 conferences and events in your first year
-Conducting market research to determine key industry developments
-Conducting telephone based research with senior executives
-Writing a market driven agenda for your conference
-Recruiting director level individuals to speak at your events
-Conducting face to face meetings both locally and globally
-Producing copy for brochures
-Working closely with other internal teams such as marketing, operations and sales
-Traveling globally to your conferences and greeting your delegates and speakers
Requirements:
-A 2:1 or above in your chosen discipline, ideally a BA degree with a strong writing and research element such as History, English etc
-Fantastic communication skills and a natural ability to network
-Ideally 6-12 month's experience within a commercial setting such as conference production, sales, recruitment, market research or similar
-A strong ability to work to deadlines
-A desire to travel
-Languages such as German, Mandarin, Japanese, French a bonus
