Job Title: Graduate Commercial Analyst

Our client is one of the UK's largest energy companies. They generate around one fifth of the UK's electricity, employ around 15,000 people and supply electricity and gas to around 5.5 million residential and business customers.

Our client is looking for a graduate to join them as a Commercial Process Analyst. You will have responsibility for supporting the development of the business through designing and implementing Business-to-Business or B2B Commercial policies and processes, often focusing upon the end-to-end process supporting their core product suite.

You will ensure all existing Commercial policies and processes are accurate, providing any amendments in an efficient manner, whilst ensuring that they are widely known and applied within the organisation to allow B2B to operate with maximum operational effectiveness, reducing process risk and minimising margin erosion.

You will also be working with a wide range of business areas to understand actual or near miss incidents, supporting the delivery of solutions and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential skills for the role to include:

- At least a 2.1 or above in Economics, Maths, Business or a related discipline
- Strong commercial acumen
- Competency in all Microsoft applications including spreadsheet modelling
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Adaptable and flexible working style

Desirable skills for the role to include:

- An understanding or the principles of the energy industry
- Exposure to project management or involvement in project work
