Job Title: Graduate Buying and Online Marketing Assistants x3

With well over 200 UK stores, my client is one of the largest electrical goods retailers in the UK. Coupled with internet shopping and home delivery services, they employ several thousand staff and operate across Europe.

Are you interested in a career in buying, merchandising or online marketing within the retail sector? Our client is a major high street retailer and is undergoing a period of massive expansion to their online offering. We have three entry level roles that offer great progression into buying, merchandising or marketing and are looking for graduates with passion for these areas.

We have three vacancies and two different roles:

Graduate Online Product Assistant (x2)

A role that touches on merchandising, marketing and product management. We are looking for two graduates to be key players in the online presence for specific product categories. You will work with the Online Trading Manager helping to decide:

- What products need to be made available for each range
- How to promote them
- At what cost (relative to competitors)

You will be a lynchpin for your product category, collaborating with buyers, online marketing and the web content team to make sure the strategy is delivered and targets are met.

Graduate Buyer for the Online Product Range (x1)

This is very much a buying role. You will be responsible for helping to extend the online range through sourcing new products. You will be:

- Helping deliver online strategy through the sourcing of new products for the online portfolio
- Negotiating and agreeing costs
- Monitoring the pricing that is put in place

This position is very collaborative. You will working with buyers, online trading managers, suppliers and distributors in order to help deliver the targeted growth in the product range.

Requirements:

- Graduate with a 2:1 in a business, retail or analytically focused discipline
- Commercial awareness
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical ability for price monitoring
- Influencing skills
- Collaborative; able to form great working relationships internally and externally
- Ambitious graduate who is keen to progress down a buying, marketing or merchandising route
- Negotiation skills (especially for the pure buying role)
