Our client is a global software house. They produce software for the asset management industry. They have over 1000 staff worldwide and their clients include many well known corporations and investment banks.
They have a proud record of staff retention - the current average length of employment is over six years. The company has a proven track record in hiring and developing graduates into senior executives - the MD himself was hired as a graduate fourteen years ago.
An opportunity has arisen to join an organisation within client services. Focussing on high profile investment management clients, you will provide support and analysis to clients using the key product provided by the organisation.
The role will offer exposure to various financial areas ranging from trading and settlement to fund administration, accounting and reporting. Due to the broad asset coverage of clients, you will be exposed to everything from equities and fixed income securities to more complex derivatives and OTC instruments.
As part of the client services team you will be expected to deliver excellent customer service but the role will also give you a unique opportunity to work with and build a thorough knowledge of IT, finance, business processes and client management.
Responsibilities will include:
- Liaison with clients to assess and capture requirements
- Analysis of client organisation to obtain a full understanding of their business
- Involvement in the non-technical part of client upgrades
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of all products offered by the organisation
- Offer support of products offered to the organisation to the client base
- Liaise with other internal teams and clients on a daily basis.
In order to apply candidates must:
- Have achieved a 2.1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree preferably in a Finance, IT, Physics or Maths discipline
- Have achieved 320 UCAS points in their first three A-levels (or equivalent)
- Have a passion for both finance and technology
- Possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Be orientated towards giving excellent levels of client service
- Have excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Be willing to travel across the UK and Europe un-restricted if required
- Be able to speak and write in English to mother tongue level.
