This role will suit a graduate with an interest in taking their first steps into a Business Analyst role, with an interest in gathering requirements and analysing data for a busy company heavily involved in Business Information. The Business Analyst will be a bright graduate who will be able to learn business and technical skills to assist the BIS team in providing useful, accurate and timely reports. The data sources are constantly changing so the ability to communicate with the business for new requirements is essential. The information will be utilised by, among others, insight, marketing and financial departments to assist them to make important business decisions.

Key responsibilities:

- Understanding the business, with particular attention to Marketing, Games and Gaming Finance procedures, to ensure analytical needs and reporting requirements of the business are met.
- Discussing new requirements with the Business and Data Warehousing team.
- Scrutinising and testing data to insure data quality.
- Understanding limitations of the systems and researching and implementing solutions.
- To keep open and continue communications with your manager and your team with regard to workload and projects.

The job will involve intense onsite training on the use of db2 SQL, a BI reporting tool, MS AccessExcel and UNIX and report requirement gathering.

The essential skills are as follows:

- Minimum 2.1 in Maths, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics or related.
- Ability to analyse problems and implement solutions.
- Good computer skills including a knowledge of MS Access and Excel.
- Ability to learn in a fast changing work environment.
- Very numerate and analytical with a good attention to detail.
- Self starter with strong communication skills.
- Adaptable and flexible with an ability to multi task.

Desirable qualities:

- Experience with SQL or UNIX.
- A keen interest in the online gaming industry will be beneficial.
