Our client is the London based securities and investment banking arm of one of the world's largest banking groups.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Bank as a trainee Business Analyst. You will join the Information Systems department and work within the finance and regulation project team. This team is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the financial and regulatory reporting systems within London.
This is a business critical project which will expose you to key areas of the organisation. You can expect to build relationships with senior individuals on both the business and technology sides whilst delivering project and maintenance analysis.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of project reporting requirements, attending key project meetings and producing key project documentation
- Assist in gathering project requirements (both functional and non functional)
- Take ownership of the environment usage records, controlling allocations of development and testing environments
- Ensuring test cases, data and success criteria for system testing have been prepared
- Assist in defining quality criteria for production acceptance in agreement with the business
- Build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with business managers.

We are looking for candidates with a clear passion and interest for technology and banking. It will be advantageous for candidates to have had prior experience in this area although not essential. However candidates must:
- Be on course or have already achieved a minimum of a 2:1 in their undergraduate degree
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships
- An analytical mind-set with a willingness to challenge and question data
- Have strong MS office skills, in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Be quality driven and results focussed
- Have a strong team ethic
- Have held positions of responsibility
It would also be advantageous for candidates to have had prior experience of SQL.
