My client has developed a piece of software that manages Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns. The software is built on algorithms and is designed to automate the process of managing SEM. This enables companies to maximise their return on investment from the large search engines whilst minimising the human interaction required.
Search Engine Marketing is the term used to describe the range of marketing techniques required to make a website highly visible on search engines and directories, so that it will attract visits from its target audience. This emerging sector has witnessed huge expansion in the past few years which is only expected to increase.
I have an excellent opportunity for a bright and analytical graduate to start work in a highly successful social media company as a Business Analyst.
In this role you will provide analytical reports to clients and internally for product development and business development. You will also need to have excellent communication skills as you will be interacting with senior management both internally and on the client side.
Your responsibilities in this role will be as follows:
- Conducting Business Analytics
- Identify patterns and trends in search data to provide insights
- Develop insights for this company's clients using historical data with mathematical methods such as time series forecasting, regression, segmentation and clustering
- Maintain relationship as a subject matter expert with clients on the analytics side and provide them with bid management and optimization plans to improve their performance
- Provide the sales, marketing and product development teams with reports on company products
- Develop in house analytical tools that improve the productivity and efficiency for account management and analysis tasks
- Client management
- Develop client relationships through proactive account analysis
- Highlight key trends and issues to provide clients with industry knowledge
The essential skills for this role will be as follows:
- 2.1 or above in Maths, Statistics, Morse, Decision Science, Economics or related
- Some knowledge Hypothesis testing, time series forecasting, regression analysis
- Excellent analytical skills
- Confident giving presentations
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of one or more of the following, R, VBA, SQL or Java
- Strong Excel skills
