My client is a world leading retailer offering a diverse service to their customers.

This is a great opportunity for a highly analytical graduate. The company offers excellent career progression and a route into Project Management.

I'm seeking an exceptionally strong Analyst to work as part of a team. The successful graduate will be responsible for delivering projects that improve efficiency across a business. The role is highly analytical and much of the work focuses on improving systems or processes. You will be responsible for researching and developing new ways of forecasting customer demand, new ordering algorithms, new models to understand price-elasticity, and the impact of increased range complexity on the cost of store operations and the customer experience.

The work is high-profile and gives the opportunity to swiftly deliver significant benefits to the business.

Through your analytical skills, you will provide understanding of the root causes behind problems or observed patterns. Your projects will involve live trials. This will require you to set up detailed monitoring reports to check all is going as per plan. During the trials you will be root-causing every anomaly and providing the management team with insight into how the trial is doing.

The department is not an IT department and doesn't provide applications to the business. However as part of your analysis, modelling and monitoring work you will often need to create a program to automate repetitive tasks or to do large scale number crunching.

Requirements:

- A minimum of a 2:1 degree in an analytical or numerate subject.
- Evidence of having used analytical skills and ideally evidence of managing large amounts of data.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience of balancing priorities in a fast paced, constantly changing environment to meet tight deadlines.
