Job Title: Graduate Banking Analyst

Our client is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world.

A highly analytical role within banking. You will be aligned to a product group, for example mortgages. You will then be required to look at the relative performance of the various products within the range by applying data analysis. You therefore need to be very comfortable working with mathematical programs.

The vacancy lies in the product analysis team. This team performs a pivotal role in the bank, monitoring and evaluating current product performance and providing analytical business intelligence to drive product development.

You will search and collate large volumes of data, manipulate and build a database to provide regular management reports, modelling, ad-hoc business insights and strategic projects. You will need commercial awareness and business acumen to make sense of the results and provide recommendations to relevant stakeholders in the business.

Essential Skills:

- A strong degree in a highly numerate subject ? Maths, Operational Science, MORSE, Statistics. Economics, Decision Science
- Highly analytical, logical and thorough
- Able to demonstrate high levels of initiative
- Must relish a challenge
- Keen to learn

Technical Skills:

The ideal candidate would be a strong user of technology, but technical training will be provided. You will ideally have:

- Strong MS Excel
- Some exposure to statistical and mathematical tools like SAS, SPSS, Matlab, Minitab, SPLUS, R etc. Some experience with SAS is highly desirable
- Some SQL or database knowledge, but remember that training will be provided
