Job Title: Graduate Assistant Product Manager

My client has a strong brand with an amazing legacy and some fantastic products and services to get your teeth into. They have 450 stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland, which makes it one of the largest non-food retailers in the country. They differentiate themselves from their competitors through their national store portfolio, broad product range, competitive pricing, customer service and strong brands.

We are looking for a graduate to be a key player in the presence for specific product categories. Would you like to be involved right from the beginning with regards to product development? You will be working within a specific category and will be responsible for sourcing the product right through to getting it on the shop floor! You will be aiming to maximise sales and profit for the business and even get to help review the marketing of the products within this category.

My client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Product Manager. You will be the lynchpin for your product category, and this role touches on buying, marketing and product management.

Responsibilities include:

- Identify gaps in ranges
- Proactively source commercially viable products
- Ensure merchandising is effective
- Help with the marketing and promotion of the products
- Awareness of competitor activity
- Liaise across the business with many different departments.

Requirements:

- Graduate with a 2:1 in Business, Retail, Marketing, Maths or related
- Commercial awareness
- Strong communication skills, able to form great working relationships internally and externally
- Basic maths ability to look at price monitoring and competitor analysis.
