Job Title: Graduate Applications Engineer

My long established client is a world leader in the field of load measurement, strain and stress determination across a wide number of industries.

After continued success and rising profits as part of a larger group my client is expanding at a good pace and operates globally.

As a Graduate Applications Engineer you will have a varied and challenging role. This will involve using your design expertise (either CAD or other systems) with your problem solving abilities to assess and meet your clients' needs. You will be working in a customer focused environment to provide technical support and design for enquiries and orders.

A key part of this role is liaising between departments and lending your expertise to colleagues and clients to problem solve and design your way to a solution.

My client's equipment and services are mostly involved in the oil and gas industry at present but they are heavily involved in other industries such as aviation, rail infrastructure, marine and offshore and much more so you will be experiencing a variety of industries.

Based with the design and sales teams at the head office you will gain excellent experience and be provided with on going training that is personalised to your needs. You will also be given the opportunity for world wide travel in order to visit client sites to gain a full understanding of where and how your expertise are needed.

Requirements:

-Degree in Mechanical Engineering classified ideally as a 2:1 but a 2:2 as minimum
-A minimum of 300 UCAS points
-Design skills in CAD ideally Autodesk or other Electrical systems
-Excellent communication skills
-Drive and determination to succeed
-Excellent team working skills
-Ability to focus and work on your own
-Driving licence is essential
