This company is the world's leading supplier of optics and opto-mechanics.
Based in the European head office in York, this role is all about supporting customers globally. You will achieve this by providing telephone, email and website support to customers.
This support includes responding to technical queries, providing technical information, assisting customers in product selection, providing price and delivery information, providing quotations and providing information on existing orders.
The role also includes translating new or updated product translations from English to French for inclusion in their annual catalogue and website.
Whilst this position is predominately office based there is also the opportunity to attend trade shows in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, as well as other activities involving occasional international travel.

Requirements:
- Degree in an engineering or science discipline (2.2 or equivalent).
- Ideally your degree will have an optics bias, but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential, as is fluency in French (both written and spoken).
Office-based experience is desirable.
