My client is a specialist owner, operator and developer of public sector infrastructure assets in the UK and internationally. By combining their skills in the management of development risk, project financing, asset management and operations with those of their chosen partners and the project supply chain, they have built an enviable reputation as a market leader in the privately financed form of infrastructure renewal and modernisation which is now recognised as a key element of public sector procurement policy.
My client is looking to appoint a graduate to work as a Junior Analyst in their Investment Performance team.
This is a junior entry level role for a graduate with a real interest in what this company does especially in the investment management, project finance and analysis side. Candidates will have strong academics and ideally be from an engineering or science background. Numeracy is a must, as are good interpersonal communication skills.
Your responsibilities will be varied but will primarily involve:
-Supporting Analysts in analysing and valuing existing projects and future opportunities
-Helping to identify and realising asset value enhancement opportunities both for individual projects and for the portfolio as a whole
-Completing Investment Reviews of projects within the company and their portfolios
It is expected that within 12 months of joining the team, the successful candidate will commence some form of professional training and qualification. This would usually be to undertake the CFA qualification (Chartered Financial Analyst) but other relevant qualifications will be considered on merit.
Requirements:
-Minimum 2:1 degree in a course with a strong numeracy focus - preferably with an engineering subject
-Strong academic background with excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
