Job Title: Graduate Analyst

Our client is the major international home shopping channel. They reach over 11 million households in the UK, employ around 1800 staff with 500 in London, and offer a wide variety of products from electrical items to fashion and jewellery.

Our client's UK operation goes from strength to strength, with revenues of £260 million and over 2 million customers. Their global operations in the US, Japan and Germany generated total sales of $6.5 billion in 2005. The company is a spectacular business by any standards.

I am seeking a bright, numerate, analytical graduate like you. Are you interested in applying your analytical skills in a role that will make a real difference to a business?

You will need to provide timely and accurate extracts, reports and analysis of customer and market data whilst also ensuring data integrity throughout the business system.

This is a 12 month contract with the potential to go permanent.

The successful graduate will be responsible for:

- Extracting customer and transactional data from databases to help understand how the businesses activities affect customer?s behaviour,
- Maintaining, updating, manipulating and checking data
- Processing information to show business impact and to drive business change
- Downloading and circulating tailored published reports

Requirements:

- 2:1 in a numeric degree
- Analytical capability, quantitative and qualitative
- Commercial awareness
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- SPSS or other mathematical programming skills (desirable)
