My client is a non-departmental Public Body and their aim is to help improve the efficiency and competitiveness of various agriculture and horticulture sectors within the UK.
My client is currently looking to recruit a skilled Data Analyst to work within their agricultural benchmarking team, starting as soon as possible.
You will be responsible for manipulating and analysing data collected by regional officers within the agricultural industry with the aim of supporting and enhancing its overall productivity.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Data manipulation and analysis
- Monitor running of data collection service
- Write summary reports on findings of benchmarking system
- Improvement of processes and future development of the system
- Create and maintain links in the agricultural world and academic institutions
- Participate in various meetings, conferences, talks and events within the industry
This is a varied role within a small, relaxed, dedicated team where you will be required to have excellent teamworking, communication and analysis skills along with a passion for the agricultural and farming industry in Britain.
The essential skills for the role are as follows:
- Minimum 2:2 degree in Economics, Agriculture, Mathematics or related
- Highly analytical with strong numerical skills
- Experience in quantitative data analysis
- Good written and spoken communication
- Ideally you will have experience of working with databases
- Excellent teamwork skills
