This company is a major UK FMCG business. They are a leading supplier to large supermarkets and restaurant chains. They are a fully integrated business who control the whole supply chain. Established for over 50 years employing over 1800 people this firm are a highly successful employer.

This highly successful and national food company is looking for their future business leaders to join their 2014 operations graduate scheme. Throughout the three year structured training programme you will be given real responsibility for managing the food production processes and production staff in order to ensure the company is as efficient and successful as possible. Your development is taken very seriously as well, and after a highly structured induction period you will also be given lots of formal training and a mentor to guide you through the scheme.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Leading teams of up to 40 production staff to improve individual and section performance
- Managing all operations to ensure KPI and business targets are met
- Implementing new initiatives and projects to improve business efficiency
- Supervising production to ensure product quality and continuous improvement
- Developing good working practices and promoting safe working behaviour
After your first year fully focussed within Operations, you then have the option to either carry on through this route on the scheme, or try your hand at other areas, such as Supply Chain, Agriculture, Finance or Engineering.
The most important thing is that you have strong leadership skills and a real passion for managing teams and developing performance. You will need examples of your leadership potential from extra-curricular activities or work experience.
You must also have:
- A 2:1 (predicted or achieved) from your chosen degree subject
- Strong A-level results, ideally 280 UCAS points and above
- Great communication skills and confidence with public speaking
- An interest in FMCGs and the desire to progress within this sector
