My client is a leader in the field of Executive Search within the global financial markets. With offices across the world, this firm is able to research and find top-performing professionals in the areas of Wealth and Asset Management, Insurance, Global Markets, Consumer Banking and Private Equities.

Each of their experienced consultants works in a specialist, vertical market to create a level of expertise unmatched by other high-end recruiters.

Their market presence allows them to work as the exclusive supplier for each mandate, which allows them to research the market in depth to find the perfect candidate.

Due to increased workload the company is looking for two Associates to start immediately. Associates are responsible for all areas of support in helping to secure the right individual for each project. You will be assigned to a particular financial products division which will be your primary focus; you will also assist in other projects as required.

Duties include:

- Formulation of research strategy in conjunction with the consultant and the client, identifying target companies and markets
- 'Mapping' the entire universe of target individuals relevant to your vacancy, including background information on history, salary, achievements, etc
- Researching your own product area to understand new developments including change in legislation, mergers and acquisitions, financial results, etc
- Developing a network of reliable sources

Associates tend to work on only one or two projects at a time, as at this level it takes a matter of weeks, sometimes months, to fully research and identify the correct candidates. The learning curve for this role is very steep and you will become an expert within a short space of time.

You will benefit from an excellent in-house training structure which is tailored to your individual needs and includes the fundamentals of name gathering, how to profile candidates, interviewing techniques and best practises in networking.

The role carries a biannual bonus element which is based on individual and company performance. You should be looking to earn at least an extra 20% on top of your basic salary in your first year.

Requirements:

You must hold at least a 2.1 from a redbrick university and a mixture of A's and B's at A-level. As this is very much a research-based role we will consider those from humanities or analytical degree subjects as well as business, and of course any area relating to finance.

You must have a genuine interest within the banking and finance sector, which will be exposed within the interview process.

As this is a global company with an international workload we welcome those with a second language, ideally French, German, Spanish or Italian.
