About the role...
As Assistant Project Development Manager, you will support the delivery of a number of projects defined within the Group Development Strategy.
You will play a supporting role in developing, preparing, agreeing and implementing new service contracts for all the Group municipal collection, disposal and recycling service contracts as defined by the Group Development Strategy. This will include pre-qualification stages, restricted tender processes, procurement through competitive dialogue and where appropriate negotiated contracts andor extensions to contracts.
Responcibilities...
- Assisting the delivery of Project Development Plans (or part thereof).
- Assisting in the development and preparation of Project Delivery Plans, Tender Proposals and Contract Documentation.
- Supporting the implementation of development procedures and systems and ensuring that these are embedded and used across all projects.
- Supporting the PDM, and working as part of a team to prepare Project Development Plans.
- Assisting in the development and negotiation of project plans, tender proposals and contract documentation, including pre-qualification processes.
- Assisting in the delivery and implementation of project plans for the delivery of new waste management services across all areas of the core business (municipal collections, disposal and recycling) in accordance with all company policies.
- Assisting in the preparation of project and tender development procedures and systems, including the maintenance and updating of such.
- Supporting the PDM to establish, maintain and manage good Customer Relationships.
- Supporting the PDM to ensure that the standards of staff knowledge and performance are enhanced to the benefit of the employees and the company.
Requirements...
- Educated to degree level
- Experience in the preparation and writing of project specific technical, financial and legal documentation to a high standard.
- At least 1 year in an organisation with a professional and disciplined approach to project development, preferably within a Waste Management environment. With previous experience and track record in the successful delivery of projects to time, budget and specification.
- Experience in the application of sound project management development and project management techniques
