Our client is a leading commodity consultancy, providing procurement support services to over 300 organisations both in the UK and across mainland Europe. The company's prime objective is to provide clients with individual support for their commodity procurement, enabling them to achieve the most favourable deal in respect of price, terms and conditions. Their customers include many blue chip organisations.
The role of the Energy Analyst is to be both the flexible contract negotiator and general market support for flexible clients.
The successful candidate will forge strong working relationships with your clients and keeping them apace of developments within the supply and traded market. The analyst will advise clients on the most appropriate procurement strategy having been involved in the risk management discussions ahead of purchases. They will then either recommend or execute the purchasing decisions on behalf of the client.
The analyst will then be responsible for all areas of contract management and reporting back to the client. This position presents a unique opportunity to train, develop and build a career within the competitive commodities market. Career progression will lead into energy trading.
The essential attributes for this role are:
-Firm understanding of the processes and technical applications within the UK Energy Markets and Industry
-Highly experienced originator of flexible gas or power products.
-Minimum of three years experience of working in the UK Gas and Power industry.
-An organised, detailed and methodical approach to your daily tasks
-An ability to identify problems and resolve them swiftly
-Good commercial knowledge
-Good communication skills and full commitment to the role
-Excellent knowledge of general software (typically, Microsoft Excel, Word and Access)
-Performing analytical tasks and developing solutions
-Ability to work to deadlines and achieve results
