Established over 35 years ago this company specialise in the creation and production of products aimed at the unique function and design required for young children e.g. feeding bottles, teethers and personalised baby care. Each product has been designed and crafted by a network of medical and technical experts with the development of young babies in mind. The company products are stocked in major retailers such as Mothercare, Marks and Spencer and Toys R Us.
A typical day would be:
You will join the digital marketing team responsible for driving brand awareness through social media channels, blogs, press release and the company website.
Tasks interns can expect to learn about and undertake include:
- Clean up blog comments.
- Answer all social media enquiries and comments.
- Celebrity tracking and send outs.
- Blogger updates, send outs and answer email enquiries.
- Answering all email enquiries from bloggers, PR agencies for celebrities and customers regarding the business.
- Maintain a consistent flow of social media posts.
- Help in uploading emails to email system.
- Blog proof reading and post updates.
- Control of send out database.
- Organising PowerPoint and meeting presentation.
- Inventory update.
- Cover while on holiday.
- Weekly Reporting on digital footprint.
- Up keep on all databases.
- Packaging and sent outs.
- Assist Digital marketing manager on duties.
The ideal candidate's personality and qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position is a recent graduate looking to build their commercial work experience within a social media or digital marketing position of a FMCG company.
Desired skills, experience and education:
- Educated to degree level.
- Experience in digital and social media communications.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Experience in sourcing and managing content development and publishing in a professional capacity would be desirable but not a pre-requisite.
- It would be beneficial to have experience with blogging and popular blogging platforms like WordPress.
- An entrepreneurial approach to work.
- Experience in Day to day management of all social media platforms, evaluating performance and implementing ideas to improve customer engagement.
- Experience in social media content development content development on the following networks: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, must be showcased.
- Any knowledge of using Google Analytics or SEO strategy would be a bonus but not a pre-requisite.
