Future Leaders Development Programme
Competitive base salary of £36,000, plus an initial bonus of £8,000
We want you to make tomorrow even more exciting than today, combining the strategic vision to conceive our future with the strength of character to go about creating it. You'll be an inspiration to colleagues, a facilitator to customers and a lightning rod for innovation across the business. So whichever leadership programme you choose, expect an intensive two-year introduction to the fascinating world of financial services as you prepare for a top-level career in your chosen field.
There are several paths to the top, broadly split into two tracks. Our Retail and Business Banking Leadership Programme will give you a broad overview of the business, deep customer insight and a clear sense of where your strengths and your prospects lie. Or you could opt for one of our Functional Leadership Programmes that will prepare you for a high-flying future in Human Resources, Marketing and Products, Marketing Analytics, Credit Risk Analytics, Credit Risk Delivery and Information Management, Technology - Product and Process Development, Finance and Tax.
Whichever path is right for you, the overall development structure remains the same. The training options are carefully selected and structured to ensure you have the best possible start on your learning journey. There's an induction to get you up to speed and accelerate your learning, then a blended suite of offerings on your two year roadmap, learning the ins and outs of your business area in a series of rotational placements. At least one placement will be client-centric, while both international travel and training for the best relevant professional qualifications are par for the course. The experiences you gain along the way will give you the commercial mindset and strategic outlook to build on your natural ambition and transform you from next big thing to fully-fledged business leader.
Who we look for
It goes without saying that your academic record will be of the highest order (a minimum 2:1 and 300 UCAS points to be precise). But what we're really interested in is your potential, which is why we've identified key behavioural sets that mark out our future leaders. We will look at your ability to inspire and collaborate with others, to be bold and drive change, and to see the business through our customer’s eyes.
