Military Air and Information is the air sector of BAE Systems, responsible for the design and build of fixed wing military and training aircraft, as well as providing training, support and information services for the UK RAF and other customers worldwide.
Human Factors (HF) engineers support the Human Engineering process by applying specific knowledge and analytical methods covering the full width of the HF skill set to ensure the resulting systemservice is able to perform its mission, achieve its goals and be supported in its operational environment. This includes consideration of human characteristics (anthropometry, sensory capabilities, etc.) and the effects of stress, workplace design, information and control requirement definition within human machine interfaces and environmental ergonomics.
What you will be doing... (Role Duties and Responsibilities)
On a graduate placement an individual would be expected to be involved in a number of areas in order to develop a broad understanding of fast jet systems and the activities undertaken in the development, maintenance and support of such systems.
What we are looking for... (Skills and Experience)
- Predicted or obtained 2:1 degree in Human Factors and the right to work in the UK post-graduation.
- Analytical approach and the ability to apply this to problem solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communications, enabling the production of high quality outputs.
- Ability to network and form effective relationships with customers, both internal and external.
