With well over 200 UK stores, my client is one of the largest electrical goods retailers in the UK. Coupled with internet shopping and home delivery services, they employ several thousand staff and operate across Europe.
This is an exciting role for a graduate who is passionate about the latest gadgets and new technology. You will be managing and supporting all product information for a famous electrical retailer. It's a brilliant entry level role if you have a keen interest in retail, buying and marketing.
The Assistant Product Manager will assist in managing imaging and online plans for products in the category. You will be involved in competitor analysis, producing a competitive promotional plan and supporting all marketing campaigns. You will seek marketing opportunities and become an expert in the range.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring sales and profit performance against targets
- Ensuring online competiveness through daily web price checks and amends
- Producing regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis as required
- Attending regular Category meetings to maximise sharing of information and performance
- Conducting and documenting ongoing monthly Category Audit plans
- Maintaining an accurately merchandised site
- Supporting new range launches and technologies
- Briefing Marketing on weekly activities and proposing partner activity support for promotions and campaigns
Requirements:
- A 2.1 or above in your chosen degree discipline
- A self-starter with the ability to solve problems and influence others
- Hard-working, good team player with drive and determination to succeed
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Creative with superb attention to detail
- Numerate with good analytical skills
- Intermediate Excel skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems. Basic knowledge of XML would be an advantage.
