Great with data? Enjoy working with Excel? This is your chance to bring your skills and passion to an exciting research agency
- ABA, one of the fastest-growing research agencies in Britain, is seeking new talent and is looking to take on several Data Analysts
- Based in St Albans, we work for many of the UK's biggest retail brands and new team members will see the effect of their work on every high street
- We work in small teams so, from day one, newcomers will be in the thick of things - on challenging and high-profile projects
- They will be given responsibility from early on and have a mandate to innovate and find their own way
- Their commitment to us will be matched with all the encouragement and support they'll need to maximise their potential
Successful candidates will help shape how the nation shops
- New Data Analysts at ABA would quickly have the chance to deliver complex data that will be woven into reports underpinning the strategies of major retailers such as John Lewis and ASDA
- Everything an Analyst does will build towards ABA's USP of producing 'research that works' - including:
- Using Excel, SPSS and bespoke software to run tables and manipulate data so it is tailored to the needs of the research
- Ssetting up, designing and managing complex online surveys and interactive portals
- Working closely with ABA's IT and Insight departments and external suppliers to deliver data outputs that meet our top-class quality standards
- Recommending and building new data outputs, and seeking ways to automate and streamline existing processes
- Employing statistical techniques that ensure data outputs are compelling enough for top-level decision makers to base their strategies on them
- Previous work experience of working with data sets and excel is a bonus but having energy, rigorous thinking and a genuine thirst for doing a great job will be vital
We're looking for some key abilities and interests
- A real passion for working with data and building automated processes
- Strong command of Excel and the capacity to work confidently with complex formulae
- Ability to work in a thorough, precise manner and display excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads
- A thirst for learning new software skills and building on existing knowledge
We offer an outstanding pay and benefits package
- Competitive Salary
- Extensive training - a commitment to personal development
- A banked-hours system - giving flexibility around working life
- A generous bonus system - 10% of salary paid out, on average, in each of the last 5 years
- Paid overtime - when the odd late night is needed to meet a critical deadline
- A social committee - with a generous budget and regular activities
- A buddy and mentoring scheme - making sure new 'ABAers' feel welcome
- Paid-for lunches – prepared and provided on-site
