Our client is a leading professional services group targeted at the mid-market, including entrepreneurial and mid-sized businesses, independent organizations and private clients.

Client services include Business Services, Tax, Corporate Finance, Corporate Recovery, Financial Services, Outsourcing and Technology.

They are a 3,000 strong organization operating from more than 35 offices across the UK with an acquired annual turnover of over £250 million.

This accountancy has become a PLC and as a result all permanent employees can buy into their share option scheme.

Our client is recruiting for various Senior External Auditor roles based in London, Basingstoke, Birmingham, Reading, Southampton and Portsmouth.

The role will involve working with a range of different clients and sectors, leading audits and being responsible for assistants within the audit team to ensure delivery within agreed timetables.

This accountancy firm believes that having professional qualifications is only part of the makeup for a professional Accountant. Everyone during their career is also put through their academy programme that will help develop the successful candidate at all stages of their career. This programme implements courses that start at core excellence (the foundations of management skills) and then develops the candidate from there. Each candidate is mentored on how they want to progress their career and a bespoke training programme is designed to help them achieve their goals. Career progression will lead to Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Manager, Associate Director, Director (equivalent to partner).

Salaries for each branch are as follows:

London £42k to £43.5k
Reading £30k to £35k
Birmingham £28k
Basingstoke £30k to £38k

They offer a good work life balance (statutory hours 9:00 to 17:00 and 1 hour for lunch, although typical hours are 08:30 to 18:00) in an open plan office environment.

The successful candidates need;

-Part or newly qualified in ACA or ACCA.
-Gained their experience in a top 20 accountancy practice
-A 2:1 degree (will take a 2:2 if they have passed all accountancy exams)
