A market leading secure data systems provider who work extensively with socially important services including Education, Justice, Health and Employment, for clients ranging across the voluntary, private and public sectors.
Location
The offices are located in central London, close to Kings Cross. There will be occasional travel to customer sites in the U.K.
The Candidate
We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Project Manager with great communication skills and extensive experience delivering end to end web-based software solutions. The position is full-time and the goal is to ensure the smooth implementation of deployments with a strong focus on client management. You can discern what is important to a client, and deliver a solution based on an existing product and the professional services surrounding it. Customer handling skills are prominent in this role. You can confidently control scope, build project momentum, and balance requirements and deadlines to ensure client satisfaction. You will have deep understanding of software development, deployment, testing and training.
Responsibilities
Project Managers are responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating activities to manage and implement projects from initiation to final operational stage. Determining business requirements and translating requirements into plans. Ensuring that the projects are managed to realise business benefits. Responsible for projects being delivered on time to agreed Customer commitments, to budget and with the professional quality expected. Effectively manage the change of requirements, dependencies, milestones, risks, issues, and priorities.
Requirements:
-A background setting up and delivering large scale IT projects across multiple locations (ideally in Europe or globally) within a complex environment, typically involving multiple clients and vendors
-Excellent end to end SDLC experience
-Manage the on-going development of the project plan
-Manage risks from project start-up through the lifecycle of the project, and maintaining a suitable RAID log
-Set up and manage IT project budgets from initial estimates through to project completion
-Understand the importance of defining and realising benefits from the client's point of view
-Ability to ensure key milestones are met within aggressive budgetary and timescale constraints
-Excellent stakeholder management skills
-Experience of matrix management
-A business focus and able to take a step back and look at the wider picture, not just the detail.
-Able to adapt their management style to suit different project teams.
