Their services include business consulting, software and hardware development, technical consultancy and complex data analytics work.

An Oracle Development Consultancy opportunity in London or Surrey, for those who have strong commercial Oracle development and administration experience, working with systems integration.

You will be working on exciting projects covering national security, telecoms, FS, technology, media and central government sectors. The projects that you will be involved with will be business critical, and technically challenging.

Working as part of a project team or as the lead for a team within a programme you will be expected to bring your Oracle Subject Matter Expertise to the project. You will be given responsibility to deliver on a client project which could include contributing to and leading on the design and development of software solutions within a project plan, and helping to address challenging IT and security requirements.

Requirements:

- Commercial experience of managing large multi-TB 10g-11g databases.
- Knowledge of Backup and Recovery techniques and using RMAN and other methods.
- Operating systems: Windows 2003, Unix or Linux.
- Installation and use of High Availability components; RAC, Data Guard and Clusterware.
- Knowledge of advanced replication using Materialised Views, Streams and Advanced Queues.
- SQL and PLSQL programming and best practises.
- Database Load and Transformation Techniques (SQL Loader, Data Pump, External Tables).
- Comprehensive understanding of security best practises.
- Data Warehousing techniques and tools.
- Ability to understand and design large relational databases from first principles, and be able to configure the database.
