Working in a team of 70 in Managed Services they offer an application support service to strategic clients across multiple industries and business areas. The position offers prospective candidates the opportunity for unparalleled recognition, skills exposure and career development, across multiple business areas.

The role will involve application management support activities for complex systems within the main clients including national security clients.

Activities include:

-Understanding problems or potential opportunities in system architecture and writing and developing code in J2EE, SQL, Unix, Linux, JBOSS.
-Problem analysis, defect determination and fixing, and developing system enhancements.
-Input into the documentation of operational and support procedures.

Career progression will lead to Principle Consultant then Director level. If however you want to specialise in a certain technology our client will build a career path around your needs.

Experience required:

- Strong academics.
- 2 years commercial experience in J2EE, SQL and Unix knowledge and development experience.
- Understand and have experience in large project development, development lifecycles, development methodologies, and project scoping.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- You will hold a current security clearance at the SC level for a minimum of 12 months, with a view to upgrading this level further, to DV.
