Established in 2002 our client's products develop, implement and support a comprehensive suite of market data products including real-time market data feeds, a commercial publishing suite and traditional quote terminals.
The company's fast-growing operations are currently staffed by over 100 people across four offices in the US and UK. They are becoming a well known player in their market place.
Our client is looking to hire a talented and experienced C++ Developer to join their growing software development team.
You will be working with core development of their proprietary server technology and very-high-speed message bus. You will be joining a team of 26 expert C++ Programmers, utilising the latest compiler toolsets and OS APIs in a highly demanding real-time environment. The role is in a fast pace environment where you will take on new projects and work to deadlines. 70% of your time will be in programming and 30% design, testing, implementation and performance monitoring. The role will encompass a range of projects from developing data feeds to web development and you will be communicating the status and technicalities of your project throughout the team.
Requirements:
- Up to 2 years' work experience in C++ since university
- Knowledge of STL and Boost
- Good networking knowledge and system programming skills on Linux or Windows
- 2:2 or above Hons. degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science or comparable scientific discipline
- Strong academics
- Knowledge of financial markets is an advantage.
