Graduate Reporter - The Cover (London)
The Cover, a daily online capital markets news publication, is seeking a reporter to join as part of Euromoney Institutional Investor’s graduate trainee scheme. The successful candidate will be a hardworking, self-starting individual eager to build a rewarding career in financial journalism. Candidates will need to be able to write cleanly and quickly, show a keen interest in economic and financial affairs, and be web-savvy. The position involves reporting on a fast-moving market, plus occasional travel abroad to conferences. You will be interviewing key officials at major City and European institutions. The Cover (www.coveredbondnews.com) publishes breaking news on the covered bond market, a $3 trillion source of mortgage finance. We won the 2008 SIPA award for Best New Launch. You will be reporting from day one, but during a six month training period you will attend classroom-based courses on all aspects of news gathering and writing, as well as one on the financial markets. The company aims to offer all trainees who successfully complete the scheme a role at the end of six months.

Graduate Trainee Reporter – AirFinance Journal
Airfinance Journal is looking for a graduate trainee reporter to write news and features about the global aviation finance market.
We are looking for someone who can source stories, has an interest in current affairs and finance and is confident both on the phone and face-to-face. Candidates must be able to learn quickly, have a sound knowledge of current affairs and geography, and be able to produce breaking news and analysis pieces on a daily basis.
During your six-month training period, you will contribute to the website and magazine as well as completing a structured training programme. Past journalism experience is not required as the instruction is designed to develop your skills. Your training will include an Introduction to Financial Markets, an intensive course which provides a solid grounding in the operations of the world’s international capital market and a structured series of editorial courses including News writing, Feature Writing, Interviewing Skills and Subbing.
Applicants for this role must have an interest in the financial markets as well as a strong academic record. The Company aims to offer all trainees who successfully complete the training scheme a role at the end of six months.

Trainee Journalist – Legal Media
Euromoney’s Legal Media Group recruit graduate trainee journalists at various points during the year. Our roles involve researching and writing for a number of publications in the areas of finance, intellectual property, tax, real estate and litigation.
The roles involve:- coordinating international research process for a number of publications, surveys and market reports; arranging and conducting in-depth interviews (face-to-face and by telephone) with senior-level lawyers and general counsel of large corporates; writing informative and analytical editorial about the legal market in a number of countries, based on the results of the research conducted Strong academic record (a 2:i degree or above), outstanding writing skills and a genuine interest in business journalism are essential. Knowledge of the legal and financial markets, fluency in a foreign language and experience in handling large-scale research projects desirable.
