Arguably, noone embarks on a postgraduate qualification in English without having a love of reading. Many feel that analysis of literature and language should not end at graduation, but continue into postgraduate study.
Most of all students will progress their knowledge of the language, as well as the literature; touching on history, politics, economics, feminism and all sort of interesting subjects. Communication, analysis and research skills will all be gained as well as many more transferable skills which can help graduate's employability.
