Postgraduate Education Courses

Teaching is a responsible profession where learning and development will never end. There are financial rewards and great opportunities for career profession, but many teachers find that touching the lives of children and young adults is the main motivation for working in this sector.

If you're looking to teach in a primary or secondary school you will need to gain specialist undergraduate, postgraduate or professional certificates in education. If you want to teach at further, adult or higher education level, different qualifications are required.

Provided you have a degree, you can attend a postgraduate teacher training course (PGCE) or an employment-based route into the teaching profession. You don?t necessarily need a degree in a particular subject in order to teach it.
