A postgraduate course in Classics and Ancient History can equip a candidate with knowledge and skills which can be applied in many different areas of work, such as logical thought processes, good communication skills, interpreting and evaluating sources, research and analytical skills among others.
While few jobs relate directly to a classics degree, the skills and knowledge gained are valuable to a wide range of employers. For secondary teaching or working in education a classics degree is essential, but it is also extremely relevant and useful in museum work, archive work, heritage management and archaeology.
