Postgraduate American Studies Courses

American Studies is an interdisciplinary field, incorporating the study of economics, history, literature, art, media, film, urban studies, women?s studies, anthropology and sociology.

Most American Studies courses focus on Art & Film, History or Literature. One fifth of American Studies graduates progress to postgraduate education in American Studies, learning logical thinking, critical evaluation, communication, cultural awareness, organising and research. These skills are applicable to a whole range of different jobs from disparate sectors.
